Greetings and Salutations Faithful Stapleton Blog Readers!  I know it has been a long time since an update and there has been a huge gap in all of your lives.  You may not of known what it was, but it was indeed the lack of a Stapleton Family Blog entry.  So now I must take the time to put things right.
Work is going well. Â My staff busted through their goal last year at 166% and just killed it! Â It was a long first year on the job and this next year looks even longer. Â If you have not kept up with Jess on facebook you might not realize that I’m married to the incredible shrinking wife. Â She is down 50+ pounds and still going! Â Her headaches and other family matters you will see below have kept her from working. Â We hope she will be able to start subbing next school year, this one was not meant to be.
So in my traditional I’m behind fashion I will do my updates by month below.  I hope that you all enjoy.
June
We were happy and felt very blessed to get the house in WV sold after just 54 days on the market. Â This month also began the drought in earnest. Â I have been living in Nebraska for a little over a year now and I still do not need 2 hands to count the times it has rained.
July
Hotter than Hell and we had our 13th Anniversary.
August
Hotter than Hell and we celebrated our birthdays. Â Rick and Debbie also came out and stayed with us over Labor Day weekend.
September
I spent most of the month working in FL, then making up all my other work when I got back. Jess went to visit Ricky in South Carolina at the end of the month and they made a trip home to WV to visit Nana.
October
Life, the universe, and everything.
November
Work as usual and for logistical reasons I sent Jess back to WV on her own for Thanksgiving while I held down the fort in NE. Jess spent some quality time in South Carolina with Ricky and Megan the week after Thanksgiving.
December
We celebrated Baby Jesus’s birthday and we all went back to WV for about a week for the holidays. Â It was good to see everyone and it was my first time back in 8 months. We also got to see our first blizzard in NE.
January
We are all back in NE for a short while then we received the sad word that Jess’s Nana had passed away. Â We of course loaded up the car and headed back to WV to be with Family. Â We made it through the difficult week then I flew back to NE and left Jess, Petey, & Phoebe in WV. Â That way Jess could help out her mom and not feel any pressure to get back to NE.
February
During the month of January Jess’s Step Grandfather Mr. Eagan, health was in decline.  On February 1st he passed away as well, while Jess was still in WV.  I stayed in NE while arrangements were being made then traveled back to WV.  When the arrangements were complete we all traveled back to NE.  In the space of a couple of weeks all the remaining grandparents on Jess’s side of the family passed and went on to a better place where we will see them again one day.
March
Nothing really spectacular happened in March. Â Like everyone else we were getting by and waiting patiently for the weather to break.
On a happy note Jess did feel well enough to go to Easter service today and we were able to take an Easter picture.
We hope that this  update finds you and yours doing well.
Love the
Nebraska Stapletons
