Marking Alaska off my list.

Some of you may be aware, but many might not know that I have customers spread across five time zones within the United States (often, Hawaii and Alaska time zones are overlooked). I’ve has a customer in Fairbanks, Alaska, for approximately two years now, and this week marked my inaugural visit. After completing my work obligations, I decided to take an afternoon off and arranged a red-eye flight back home, affording me some time to explore the Fairbanks area (this time of year its light 19 hours a day) where I was staying.

Driving the Audi R8 & Hoover Dam

Jess & I took a little vacation in February where I got to do something I’ve always want to do drive a super car on a race track.

I used a company called Exotics Racing and had a great experience.  My original plan was to drive an Aston Martin but it was not working on the day of my arrival.  They offered me several other cars to choose from but in the end I choose the Audi R8 (they gave me extra laps for free because the car I scheduled was not available).  I did choose the video package with my laps you can click the link here to watch the HD video  you might notice I was smiling a lot.

While we were in the area I also got to see the Hoover Dam you can check it out here if you go I highly recommend taking the extra tour that takes you into the bowels of the dam, well worth it.

Chicago August 2013

This year my company moved our annual conference to Chicago.  It was my first time to actually get to visit the city, prior to this I was only passing through at the airport.

South Dakota Trip

In July I took a trip through the Black HIlls National Forest area of South Dakota.  It was a great time and some beautiful new parts of the country I had not previously visited.

Palo Duro Canyon

As some of you know I was in Amarillo, TX last week for some work meetings.  Due to flight times and other factors I ended up staying over Friday and had some rare time off while I was out of town.

So I took the opportunity to drive out to Palo Duro Canyon state park.  This canyon is the second largest in the world, the only one bigger is of course the Grand Canyon (now I’ve seen them both).  Palo Duro is much different because you can drive down into and a long way through the canyon.  It is however equally beautiful in its own way.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

The Strategic Air & Space Museum Visit

This may bore many of you but I had the best time at the Strategic Air & Space Museum. I will walk through some of the pictures with you in the sideshow below. However after reviewing the pictures I realized I never got a picture of the fully functional flight simulator. This was so great I did it twice. I never really thought I would get to try all those great aerial maneuvers that I’ve studied.

While in the simulator I performed a Split S, Scissors, L4, and a few others. I must have had that simulator all over the place because there was a crowd looking at me when I exited the simulator. But hey I had a hell of a time!

Now onto the pictures!
