Updated: Star Trek: Discovery Episode 1 & 2 spoiler free review

Since this is the first new Star Trek series in 12 years I feel a review is in order.

• Starfleet uniforms | Awful
• Special EFX | Awesome
• Story Potential | There, but undetermined 
• Writing | Good
• Klingons only in subtitle | now come on!
• New Klingon Wardrobe? | Seriously, Samurai Dresses, really?
• Redesign of the Klingon Bat’leth? | That’s just heresy!

Update 10-29-17 | I gave it 4 1/2 Episodes

I’ve stopped watching, this is not Star Trek to me, its a modern TV show and that’s probably ok for most people.  This is gritty and lacks the uplifting parts of Star Trek.  As I said its a very modern TV show and I may just be getting very set in my ways.

This is just not my Star Trek.
