50 Months with the 2nd most expensive PC I ever purchased

It seems like I missed the 4 year anniversary a couple months ago for my 13″ MacBook Pro with Retina.  I am now at 50 months with the same PC and this is a record.  I have to admit when I purchased it I had more than a little trepidation with the cost.  Behind the first 486 DX2 66 IBM Clone PC that I purchased in 1992 this is the 2nd most expensive PC in my 28 years of computing

I’m still very happy with it today and it continues to be my main PC.  I have traveled countless thousands of miles with it and it is no worse for the wear.  On some days it does show a very little bit of age but it still serves me very well.

So Jake what are you saying?  Should I only by Mac’s going forward?

No I’m saying that at all, I just wanted to mark the passage of time.

But, if there was one thing I would hope you took from this its that if you want to use something for a while be prepared to pay for it.  Don’t go out and buy a $400 laptop and then lose you mind when it fails, slows down, won’t take a new update etc.

In almost all cases in this world you get what you pay for.
